At age 20, Elana moved to New Zealand to attend University. Throughout obtaining her Bachelor of Art’s Degree in Journalism and Creative Writing, she directed her own dance company, Monroe, who placed first in a national competition, winning a grand prize of $10,000, performed in front of 200,000 people at the Coca Cola Christmas in the Park and danced on MTV’s Street Dance 3D premiere. She also toured internationally with top recording artists J Williams, Vince Harder, K One, Erakah and Illegal Banditz. Elana has also choreographed and danced for Australian Idol winner Stan Walker at the Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards, danced in a commercial for Toyota and was an assistant choreographer for a Chevron commercial.
Following graduation, Elana returned to LA, signed with Go2Talent Agency, became a work-study at Movement Lifestyle Studios and continued to work in the industry. She then booked a three month gig in China dancing for various Chinese artists and performing on national television. Soon after, Elana choreographed and danced for artists such as Kat Deluna, Andy Grammer, B Howard, P Diddy, French Montana and Nas. She has most recently returned as an assistant choreographer and dancer on the Wonderful World Tour with Aaron Carter and as a choreographer and dancer for the Annual Central American Pepsi Corporate Event in Guatemala.
Laura's teaching career began at the age of 15 and from that day on she was hooked! Her teaching continued and her classes grew, eventually ranging from ages 18 months to 60 years old. Her teaching philosophy is for all levels of dancers to feel challenged, not only physically but also creatively, simultaneously building their bodies and abilities to places they never knew possible!
