Dawn Dunlap

Dawn's passion for artistic athletics was sparked at a young age while training as a competitive figure skater. She placed fourth at the inaugural State Games of America before hanging up her skates to study at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in NYC. She trained in musical theatre and dance under Broadway performers Elaine Petricoff and Lindsay Chambers before studying in Cambridge as a part of the Moscow Art Theatre Stanislavsky School. There she studied stage movement under one of the most famous movement coaches in Russia, Andrei Droznin, and soon became enamored the elements of stage, circus and acrobatics including locomotor skills and slow motion technique. She has performed all over the country, a few of her favorite credits include Marian the Librarian in Meredith Willson's The Music Man, Mollie Ralston in Agatha Christie's The Mousetrap, both Helena and Sofia in Anton Chekhov's Uncle Vanya and Ophelia in Shakespeare's Hamlet. She fell in love with the aerial arts in southern California and has trained in aerial silks, hoop, hammock and cube, as well as well workshops for Spanish web, flying trapeze, cyr wheel, harness flying and net. She has spent the past year training in Christopher Harrison's AntiGravity aerial techniques and is currently a nationally certified AntiGravity instructor in AG Fundamentals, AG Aerial Yoga and AG Suspension Fitness.

Tamysen Malles

Tamysen trained 3 years in Vertical Dance and Hoop Dance and is classically-trained in ballet. Certified licensed practitioner of 'yoga for the special child' . Certified "Flirty Girl Fitness" and recently trained in Qignition's QiDance. Personal assistant to the king of the universe extraordinary cook of all things green! (Excluding frogs). Performed with Arizona's Classical Theater and the World's Best Shakespeare Company, as well as too many musical theater performances to name.

Katie Fitzgerald

Katie fell madly in love with silks in 2011. Soon after, she began choreographing and performing for public and private events (most recently the West Hollywood Carnaval, Exchange LA, and the Hollywood Athletic Club). As she began teaching silks regularly at the Santa Monica Pier, she found deep fulfillment in empowering others to feel beautiful, strong, unique, and powerful through the aerial arts!

When not up in the air, Katie sings professionally. She began her career as an artist on Sony-BMG records at 15. After attending Harvard University and Berklee College of Music, she returned to LA to continue her music career, and has performed at the Tokyo Dome, Grammy Museum, Nokia Theater, Yoyogi Stadium, and top international concert halls. Katie brings her many years of performance experience, stage presence, and deep musical intuition to her work as an aerialist.

Amanda Ritchie

Amanda’s lifelong dream of being a Cirque du Soleil came true in 2006 after a lifetime of preparation.
She has extensive training in pole, silks, cerceau, trapeze, harness, bungee, duo trapeze (base), spanish web, ballet, en pointe, jazz, commercial hip hop, tap, adage, lyrical and on top of all that, a personal training certification! Fresh out of Cirque and ready to move on to the next phase of her life, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue dreams in the entertainment business!

Jacqueline Lobdell

Jacqueline Lobdell has been a performer and fitness enthusiast all of her life. Her dance training includes Ballet, Contemporary, Modern, Lyrical, Hip-hop, and Jazz. She has been involved with a variety of arts, including circus and aerial arts, equestrian vaulting, and theatre arts. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre with a concentration in Stage and Screen Acting from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where she also trained in dance and choreography. She also specializes in instructing flexibility, acrobatics, tumbling, injury prevention, and aerial dance and fitness. Jacqueline has over 5 years of instructor experience working with adults and children. She currently holds a variety of X-pert trainer certifications. Jacqueline enjoys helping her students set and reach performance and fitness goals. She has been trained on silks, lyra, pole, trapeze, specialty apparatuses, chair dancing and balancing and a variety of other circus arts.

In 2008, Jacqueline claimed the silver level Region Championship in Las Vegas for Equestrian Vaulting. Furthermore she performed at the 2010 World Equestrian games in Lexington, Kentucky. She also has gotten the privilege to travel internationally as a United States vaulting ambassador and performer, to compete in Krumke, Germany. Jacqueline continues to travel between Las Vegas and Los Angeles to continue movement training through progressive workshops and educational programs.

Darielle Williams

Darielle has a BA in Dance from Florida International University. She danced with several Miami companies before transitioning to circus arts in which she specializes in aerial, pole dancing, fire dancing and stilts. Darielle has performed for many celebrities, including Jennifer Lopez and Pitbull and she was the only aerialist in Beyonce’s Formation Tour 2016. She has performed in Las Vegas’ Le Reve - the Dream, as well as the LA Opera, and was featured in Taylor Mac’s "A 24-Decade History of Popular Music" alongside LA-based Troupe Vertigo. She has appeared on Bravo TV, MTV, Lifetime, TV Land, Telemundo, Univision and Deco Drive. She was a principal in a LeBron James Sprite commercial and for a few years, was the lead hair model for Andre Walker Hair. Darielle is happy to be settled in Los Angeles where she trains and performs with Troupe Vertigo and takes advantage of the many acting classes.

Noelle Bruno

Noelle Frances discovered pole in 2014 and after building her strength, fell in love with the Lyra. She brings sultry aspect to her performances that set her apart from other aerial performers and you can catch her spreading the gospel of sexy flexibility at a number of studios in Los Angeles. She is one half of the Performance collective Wicked Woman and with her partner, Kelsea Alabama, she produces and performs TWO shows per month, Silent Femmes and Wicked Woman Picture Show, at El Cid.
This class is for absolute beginners through intermediate students who need to learn & work on basic skills and build a foundation for strength and flexibility. You will be introduced to Aerial Tissu, Lyra (aerial hoop), and the Hammock. Students will learn the basics. Students will learn basic techniques like how to: climb, wrap footlocks, get into hip keys, straddle up and basic choreography, in a safe and controlled manner. Wear tights or leggings to this class.
